Favorite Outdoor Activity

My favorite outdoor activity is playing in the pool with my brother and sister. We play Marco Polo, we have swim races, and we relax on our backs. My brother, sister, and I like to play Marco Polo. We spend hours laughing and playing. It is sort of frightening closing your eyes because you might hit a wall. I like when my sister is Marco (the person who tags with their eyes closed) because she goes very slowly, careful not to hit a wall. My brother just swings his arms around. Everytime we go to the pool we have underwater swimming races. My brother mostly cheats and walks to the finish line, but I always end up staying behind and helping my little sister go faster. When all of us play fair I usually win. I love the feeling of the cold water hitting my face when I’m swimming as fast as I can. My brother is never far behind me. To me, the best way to spend a hot afternoon is playing Marco Polo, having swim races, and relaxing with my brother and sister. By: Bella

Do I Want to Ride My First Roller Coaster? My family and I were on our way to Six Flags, Dallas.When we got there my dad asked”Do you want to ride your first roller coaster ever?”I clenched my jaw and mumbled “I’ll think about it.”I was thinking about it for 2 hours.My tongue swelled up and now my hands got REALLY sweaty. I had finally made my decision,I confronted my parents in a soft voice I whispered “ya, sure” with a small frown they couldn’t see.He stammered “WE HAVE TO GO RIGHT NOW!” He grabbed my hand and darted like Usain Bolt across the parking lot.He had gotten jumpy when he charged inside.I really wanted to recommened NyQuil for him, so he could fall asleep.When we went inside of the amusement park he told me “We have to go to the Texas Giant.”A minute later we were on the cart, sit down,pulled our lap bars down,and it yanked us up.As we climbed up the wooden roller coaster it came to a sudden stop “AHHHHHH!” We had some twists,turns, and some drops so it was over in about a minute.This was a wild adventure, and I’m glad I made this decision.If I could do it again I would do it in a heartbeat. Ms. Mitchell

Out of all the teachers I’ve had so far, Ms.Mitchell is the most silliest, sweetest, and friendliest teacher. Ms.Mitchell was so silly because sometimes if she saw something funny, she couldn’t stop laughing. I remember one time she saw a funny video by two students, Chris and Ibrahim, she almost cried laughing. Ms.Mitchell was s0 sweet to everybody in her class. Say she was having a bad day, she would definitely not be upset or mean with any of her students. One amazingly sweet thing she did for us was every Friday around 2:30 PM she would throw a Just Dance party on the Active Board. She was the only teacher in the whole school who did that! I would often think, I’m lucky to be in her class! Ms.Mitchell is also always friendly to everyone she meets, even if they are not as nice to her. She smiles and greets people with respect and friendliness. That is why my parents liked her so much. She laughs all the time, and she is just a person everybody wants to be around. For example, on the first day she was new to this school. She didn’t know where she was, so she asked a 5th grader a question. The 5th grader wasn’t nice to her at all, but she certainly was not rude back. That is why Ms.Mitchell is so special to me. She is silly, sweet, and friendly. By: Bella
